What to Expect When You Volunteer

Volunteering with Scouts isn’t just about giving back to Yateley—it’s #GoodForYou too. Adults who volunteer report increased personal confidence, new friendships, and improved mental wellbeing.

  • No Prior Experience Needed: You don’t need to have been a Scout as a kid. Whether you can commit weekly, monthly, or occasionally at weekend camps, we offer completely flexible roles.
  • Free Training & Support: Full training, online learning modules, and DBS checks are provided free of charge by The Scout Association.
  • Learn New Skills: Gain hands-on leadership, teamwork, and outdoor experience while having fun in a supportive adult team.
